Our Story
LOTA is a design and merchandise brand that funds the mission of the Moanalua Gardens Foundation (MGF), an ʻāina organization living the legacy and motto of Prince Lot, “ʻonipaʻa,” to be steadfast and persevering. MGF’s mission is to preserve and perpetuate the history, native culture and environment of Hawai’i through education and stewardship of Kamananui Valley and the celebration of the annual Prince Lot Hula Festival.
The Fundraiser
In March 2026, Hawaiʻi experienced back-to-back Kona Lows that brought historic, widespread and catastrophic damage across the island chain. Communities across Hawaiʻi saw homes destroyed, crops decimated, and beloved pets lost forever. Although weather can be unpredictable, our communities will show up for one another time and time again. Itʻs these community bonds that make us strong, keep us resilient, and help us to carry on together.
